You Make The Difference!

Working together for the good of Glendora is what makes this community so special.  With your help, GPL Friends Foundation is providing $387,000 in support of Library programs and service. It’s our gift to the community, but you make the difference.  Without your donation these programs and services will not be possible:

• Summer Reading Challenge which each year inspires more than 3,000 kids, teens, and adults to read more than 40,000 hours.  Special programs, free books and other incentives motivate and encourage summertime reading.
• Interactive cultural and special programming to encourage lifelong learning, literacy and community.  Opera talks, author visits, a movie planetarium, guest speakers and more.
• Free, one-on-one tutoring for adults who want to learn to read.  Adults are able to focus on life goals, from voting and getting a new job, to sharing a book with their child.
• New books and other Library resources for the Library’s collection, beyond budget limitations.
• Innovative and expanded online and mobile services-providing library resources where and when you need them, including:  Brainfuse, an online tutoring service for students; CloudLibrary, Overdrive and Hoopla which provide free access to ebooks, audiobooks, music, movies and TV shows.
